Why do we specialise in Residential Care Services?

Seed Skills Pty Ltd was established in response to an identified gap in the training services available to the Residential Care Services Industry. With the Australian Government bringing a spotlight to the sector, and individual states and territories developing tighter regulatory measures in the industry, there is a need to ensure quality training programs exist that support the future vision of the sector.

Seed Skills is delivering high quality residential care education to our staff.

Organisations currently operating in the sector are encouraged to review their current recruitment, staff qualifications and organisational development programs to ensure they adhere to regulatory changes or recommendations currently going through state level discussions. A key strategy for effective implementation of workforce development initiatives is ensuring the chosen program is contextualized to current industry practices AND is flexible enough to seamlessly integrate into the organisations ethos.

Seed Skills Pty Ltd programs have been specifically developed with this in mind. Our program delivery supports organisations in the induction and mentoring of new Residential Care Workers and sets the work force up to provide quality Residential Care Services to young people. We have utilised experienced youth residential care workers and case managers to develop accredited training resources. This has ensured their breadth of experience and knowledge accurately reflects current best practice.

The success of this style of program delivery has extended over 5 years with 600 employees trained effectively in Youth Residential Care Services. A feat that has resulted in youth workers that have completed our training programs being sought after as their training and mentoring received is seen as superior to the rest. Seed Skills Pty Ltd is now eager to offer this unique package to all organisations in the Residential Care Services Industry.
